Info on factory sub power

Based on the connector at the factory sub enclosure, it must house a powered sub. There are just too many wires, even for the dual voice coil for it not to have an amp, as low-powered as it may be.
That being the case, I am sure it is not powered unless the radio is on. See where I am going with this?
Being in need of an auto-on signal for my aftermarket amp, I was wondering if anyone has looked into this already and perhaps already knows which conductor (color or pin) powers when the radio is turned on?
Otherwise, I guess I will have to drag out my trusty Fluke and find it myself.
Can anyone shed any light on this?

It is powered, it has a 30W amp in it.
It is powered and remotely operated by the power to the stereo.
You just need a switched supply which can be taken from connection A4 on the stereo.

Look at the 2nd diagram down.

The wire is red/blue. The diagram actually shows you the sub power connections.

I have been to your site countless times, but have yet to peruse the whole thing. I will look there before I ask here next time.

Hahaha, we get enough lame American comedies over here for the word "dude" to remain in the context that it was original used.

Thanks for the compliments. Seriously though, my site has a lot of stuff on it so if anyone has troubles finding info, just email me and i'll give you a pointer.

It's worth keeping an eye on the news area too as it tells you what has been added.
451 stuff being added VERY soon.

I have never been called a Limey before, I quite like it lol.

I found a discrepancy in the wiring diagram. I will look into it further this weekend when I have more time, but on my radio, the black wire is the switched +12V and the blue/red is unswitched +12V. I can't tell you right now if the connector positions are correct and they changed the wire colors or what.
I will get that info to you asap so you can make a note on your site for the 451's.

I think you are right, I took the info from a shoddy smart wiring diagram.
Not having a 451 of my own I haven't had a chance to test yet.

No problem. I will put a meter on it this weekend and get you the correct pin-out, conductor colors, and potentials.
