you pay for quality. the jl box is well worth it. the other box vs the jl. hands down i would pay the xtra money. jl has the r&d money to give u the right box. yes u pay for the name like sony but u get the quality

crutchfield.com has em.... and the sub they use is double quality and price of the inferior sub used in the other applications. as far as internal volume, none of the other vendors has given a "true" internal volume measurement. Sooo its a crap-shoot. By the way Polyfill as volume expander is not a proven or a given method. I'm ecstatic that JL has it and only wish you could buy it minus their sub... you know, so WE could decide what sub to install.

We always have something new coming. Right now, I think we have 30+ products in the pipeline.

We've been installing sounds systems in smarts for a while now and this seemed like a natural fit. This will be a great solution for someone who want a good, quality set up, but not one that is completely over the top. We have and continue to do all, but with a package we are putting together this will be a nice, easy, great sounding solution.

They are now available for order. JL only had a limited quantity on hand and we purchased what was available. The boxes are on the way now and we should have them on hand within 5-7 days (as told by JL). CARTUNES are selling this box for 399 with sub, so 50 bucks more than the crappy stock box not a bad deal, thou you will need a amp but oh well not to big of a deal, their selling the HD600 amp for 490 as well that will powewr your aftermarket speakers and amp really well and its a AWSOME amp i might add!

FYI, The JL Sub enclosures are actually a plastic injected molding. Pretty much as good as fiberglass, just easier to make. Usually their enclosures sound pretty good, you're just limited to the equipment they offer. If you are an audiophile and want something like a Focal sub, then your local custom fabricator should be able to make an enclosure comparable to the JL enclosure. (They can even port it for you to get that extra umph!)
