Kenwood DNX5120 rear camera Problem

HI Anyone can help? I did installed the rear camera on my Kenwood DNX5120 but not work when I reverse, If I hold on the NAV key for 2 second and then reverse then the camera is work. anyone what wrong will this and help?

Do you have your reverse wire hooked up?

If I did't tag a right wire,why when I hold the NAV for 2 sec then put to reverse then work fine,if I hold NAV for 2 sec,but no put to reverse camera not work. Is that right?

I thought holding the NAV for 2 seconds brought up the rear view camera independent of gear. No?

yes that is how you turn the cam on w/o putting the car in reverse. you can get the wire behind the seats by the ebrake wire or at one of the rear bulbs. so check where you hooked up the wire and also check the setting on the deck make sure it is set right in the menus

you need to take the purple wire and T-tap it in to one of the reverse light wires.
