Did they mount the crossovers inside the car and run new speaker wires to the Focals or did they mount them in the doors and use the factory wiring?

hooked on Al & Ed's - my mind is blown by your sound system

Your passionate description of your new system, plus a visit to a al & ed's website www.al-eds.com is going to cost me serious $$$$. My husband has decided that instead of getting an extra set of panels and having them custom painted, he wants a audio system just like yours - and have Al & Ed install it. Now considering we live in the Kansas City area, I figure that's about 2600 miles round trip plus the cost of the system & install.

I know we can order all the parts via phone or email, but I'm not sure there's anybody qualified to install them in this area. Anybody have any suggestions for the Kansas City area?

Mogman eh? Which model? Until recently, I had a 406 DOKA as a daily driver. Now I'm at the other end of the spectrum with a black cabrio.

stereo/nav system

Our new system will be installed this weekend. I'll have specs and pictures next week. Its a nice system with new door speakers, tweaters, subwoofer, amp, backup camera, and Pioneer AVIC-F90BT. With custom fab work to hold slimline subwoofer its costing about $3200. Other than the nav/stereo unit, the rest are nice but not outrageous components. The AVIC-F90BT is just coming out and has better voice recongnition than the older models - and the price came down a chunk so that helped.

Hunter, did you peel out the door panel and the weatherproof layer to get to the speakers?
