My "trunk"

Finally found some spare time away from customer cars.

Here is what I did this weekend in our "shop" Smart car.

The weird looking dodad in the middle is my shop logo. I had emblems made over the winter...

Interesting, but with the amp mounted there you will have problems accessing the engine compartment. Subwoofer box is easy to unplug, but amplifier power, ground and speaker wires are will be pain in the butt. And to safely unplug the amp you will probably will need to disconnect the battery too.
Unless you can move seats forward and tilt box in with some type of hinge.

Way ahead of ya there. No hinge. I have disconnects behind the box. so I can take it out. As far as the power issue, I have a circuit breaker under the pass dash... Also I have enough wire coiled under the pass. seat that I can fold the seat down and put the box there in a pinch. The box is not heavy. Well it might be but I am heavy, so its not an issue......

Cool,
Is it any chance you can take the photo of the disconnect plug for the amp power cables. Is it something you made or do you have a part number? Also what gauge wire are you running?

Thank you.

Stinger SQD4 Quick Disconnect 4 Gauge High Amperage

they make this in 4 and 8 gauge. I ran 8 gauge. We sell and use these all the time for cars that need a power supply for car shows. Totally same to unplug and let hang. Also you will see these on tow trucks for easy jumper cable connections. Pretty trick.
