pioneer is working on a software update as we speak. they know the problems and are trying to fix them as fast as they can. there will be updates out soon to fix the software problems.
thx. i've read alot on the avic411.com forums - seems the updates are in the works but with no official confirmation of release date. the list of issues seems extensive based upon the posts and complaints. 3 minute boot-up time? that's not good news.
We had our AVIC-F90BT replaced last weekend with the AVIC-Z3 unit. Cost more - but its a much better unit. The tilt screen really helps with glare and the hard memory is great.
if anybody has the f series and is having problems with or with out the update let me know so i can tell them. i know a couple people who deal with that.

I had installed the AVIC-Z3 (it replaced my Radio 10) and I am using the original speakers / tweeters / sub-woofer that came with my car. The sound quality greatly improved and I now have Sirius radio, navigation and hands free Bluetooth working as well. The iPod adapter is backordered so I will install it once it becomes available.
