I had the factory upgraded sound system in my Sentra and liked the sound of that one, I just want to get closer to the way that one sounded.

Don't confuse power/sound with volume. To "fill out the sound" your are looking to get the full range of high-mid-low tones. Just volume will give you distortion while wattage will give you tonal qualities at all volume levels provided you have full range speakers.
Most factory radios do not lend themselves to being boosted with the additon of an external amplifier. As a result, many smart owners are changing out our (not so) Premium radio with a different head unit, external amplifier and new speakers.
I have heard a few upgrades that were simply awsome! Easily TEN TIMES BETTER than smart Premium Radio 10.
Have a smart weekend!
