Rear Speakers in a Cabrio?

I have been seeing all the pictures of where one might put the speakers in the Pure or Passions, but not Cabrios.

I was looking at my car today thinking how the heck am I going to do it when the soft top mechanism is in that location. I would appreciate any pics to ones that have had them put in the rear. That way I know what I am getting myself into. I really want all around sound. Front just is not going to do. Oh, and I want to keep my truck area for the spare tire and anything I might need to put in there. Hehe.

From what I have seen so far. There has been either a box taking up the total trunck. Or some smaller fiberglass molds that attach to the right and left of the trunk. Thus, taking up about 16 inches total from both sides.

Could you mount them to the bottom of the roll bar somehow?

Might be able to fit a Jeep-style soundbar to the rollbar:

Sound Bars at JC Whitney

Or you could mount a wakeboard style soundbar like what's used on sport fishing boats (the speaker grills look familiar?):

I was thinking about trying to mount something from the roll bar, but I knew whatever I would come up with would look like, I mounted something to the roll bar ha-ha...

I'm kinda surprised there isn't anything yet for rear speakers

Sure a large assortment of roll bar speaker systems for the Jeep Wrangler! I would most likely go for something like that if it were designed for the smart's roll bar. I guess I'll just have to hope somebody develops one. Seems like a good solution.

Problem is the hard glass window has to have a clear arc to swing out of the way as the top folds. This would leave a small area for small speakers up in the vacinity of the roll bar. Possibly something on the back side of the headrests?
