Hmmm... If I pre-make the rings, there isn't a real reason why they couldn't be mounted in a couple of hours. The biggest time drain of the whole thing, after making the rings themselves, is running the speaker wires under the carpet - lost some blood doing it (there are some sharp things lurking under that carpet!). So, if you are interested, I could pre-make the rings, bring my cordless drill and an X-acto knife, and we could actually have it done pretty quick! (Friday work?)

gbryers great job!!!

First, thanks for the compliment. Next, did you make those enclosures? If so, how? Very nice job, BTW...

I would like a set of ccdsmart's enclosures also for a fair price.I used rings but would like a more "factory" look. I am going to stop at the shop that did my install today and see what they would charge.

That installation is BEAUTIFUL! Where did you get the enclosures; that's exactly what I'm looking for.

ccdsmart any chance of getting a tracing of the outline for your enclosers? I think I can make them myself if you can guide my through it.

wow, all these look great.
now my question is (I tried numerous searches, really I did, but I haven't dug into the dash of the car yet), can 2 rear speakers be added to the stock CD/radio combo? I couldn't find a fader option anywhere.
I'm guessing my only option until we get an aftermarket stereo is to add a small amp and 2 more speakers off the existing stereo output, huh?

All aftermarket headunits will have 4 channels out. So there is no need for the amp if you want to save some $$$. If you care about the sound I would highly recommend to upgrade the Stereo and front speakers, and you might just change your mind about adding the rear soundstage.
