Smart Madness Subwoofer Box

I just had my Smart Madness subwoofer box installed. I wanted a clean system. I didn't want huge speakers that take up all my storage space. So I threw in an 8" Kicker and a really clean amp. I used an MB Quartz Discus amp. THD is <.06% I am running a good 200 watts on the subwoofer alone. Oh, still running the stock radio.(I know, that's another thread)

The results sounds very good. The subwoofer has a lot of punch for its size. Most the time you can't tell where it's coming from. I think it is definitely worth the money for those who want good sound without losing any storage space. The key here I think is having a really good clean amp.

So say something on the other thread! Are you using the speaker-level outputs from the Radio10 to power the amp? Do you have real speakers now are are you still on the factory cardboard?

Imagine putting around 50 watts RMS on cardboard speakers. I changed up the front speakers with component speakers with separate tweets. It's a clean system. I heard it will sound better once I change the head unit. For now I will keep it as is.

How, exactly, do you run the wires from the radio 10 to the amp? Which MB model amp do you have, and does the amp do the crossing over?

I highly doubt you could put 50watts threw the stock speakers. At best they are prolly around 15watt speakers

I have the MB Quartz Discus 450. I didn't have time to install it myself but I had a company do it. they mono bridged two channels to go to my subwoofer. This created an output of 200 watts directly to the sub. The other 200 watts were outputed to the front speakers.
