Does anyone know if aftermarket tweeters will fit in the factory location?

Can someone with the Radio 10 stereo take a picture of the factory tweeter mounted under the dash and post it here?

Thanks in advance.

After market ones probably wouldn't fit there because the stock ones have a "slot" that they go in that's pretty snug. Others have placed after market tweeters in the A Pillars, mirror side triangle pieces, and underneath the dash pointing up.

My instructions were incomplete in the end so I didn't polish it up to post here on a big thread but the .pdf I put together has a photo of the tweeters on the first page with my standard-sized hand as a sizing reference.

You can zoom in on the high-res picture crazy-close.

Tweeter location & aftermarket solution

www.4smartcar.com has a very nice speaker upgrade and solution for Smart Cars. They offer a new set of component 6.5" and tweeters by Focal. The package comes with the tweeters already molded into the plastic "A" pillar triangles.

not to cut 4smart car down but if you pay the prices for that you are stupid. yes the focal speakers are great speakers but ask youself this. have you ever head the speakers. not to knock them, or take away from there sales. when you buy speakers ask youself this. go into a store listen to what they have.
they will sound great when u listen to them in the store. what catches your ear. what stands out too you. that is the speaker you need to buy. it does not matter who is selling it to you. last time i checked you are the one who is driving the car around all the time. trust you ear.after the comments when do i get banned?????????????????????

We appreciate the supporting companies and members of these forums but please don't SPAM every Audio post stating what you sell. Your banners are easy to see and many of us ,including myself, have recommended your products. Please don't make me regret that decision.

Paying an extra $180 to have holes cut for the tweeter is stupid.

They're great speakers; I've had a couple of sets and they are one of the best in any price range.

.
I thought I was alone, glad to know I am not the only one. I wish I knew how to work with fiberglass cause $500 for a pod and a $80 pioneer subwoofer is insane.
A few years ago a shop did a fiberglass enclosure for 3-10s in my Mustang spare tire well for $120.
If this guy reduced his amount 20-25% he could make mad money $$$. Besides the sub box looks akward and needs to square off with something - maybe the tailgate.

I think the sound from the dash is excellent like that of a phantom center channel speaker and I will try next weekend to take advantage using a glue gun to hold a AFT MKT tweeter in place.
