My comment was directed more towards the pleated seats....

Same reason I won't be buying a Ultimate112 anytime soon! lol

Bondo and spray paint. 45 minutes work, even if I'm screwing around.

Cheers,

HATER VISION! No kidding, this is on my list of possible mods for my murdered-out Smart! I think it would be awesome considering how close the seatbacks are to the rear window!

Cheers,

Johnny (props to X to the Z...)

On the smart it would work, entertaining the car behind you. I've watched a couple episodes of Spongebob and Dora the Explorer following vans and SUVs around.

Very cool install, but not for me either.

I don't think the gray parts on the dash look good to begin with, and by making so much of it yellow it makes me hate the gray parts even more. I know you can't easily paint the gray areas without covering needed words and lights though. I haven't been thrilled with any smart interiors due to the gray parts but the standard black interior at least compliments the gray a little better.

I was thinking of doing some yellow seats, painting some plastic yellow, or getting yellow piping on the floor mats, but bringing the outside color inside throws off the black/gray that looks OK on its own. Ugh...if only I could get rid of the gray...

This is way too much for me too but I really like the door pannel reworked to fit a larger speaker while aiming it up and back, also the tweater integration on the mirror base. These things are worth doing for most folk.

The car was built for the Pioneer Road Show. It won for People's Choice Award. Love it or hate it, it is a cool creation!

Awesome job ... although I'm not a fan of the massive stereo system, I've built custom cars and understand what this was really built for. My kudos for what appears to be a very high quality customization.

The non-pimped folks like myself might go as far as adding speakers to the back of the car ... any chance on putting together a kit the uses the rear side panels to get a fuller sound? Also, those tweeters mounted by the mirrors ... are you going to make/sell the mounts you fabricated to do that? They'd be a nice after-market part for some. I'm sure the euro-folks might be interested too, especially since their money goes further these days.

Thanks for the kudos.
Here is the breakdown of the systems we do.

"smart 1": AM/FM/Sirius satellite radio, CD, DVD, navigation touch screen with Ipod & Ipod video onscreen control including bluetooth handsfree. This unit is then mounted with a custom made dash panel. Looks totally factory when done!;)

"smart 2": Same as above and add the following - front speaker components with that very popular custom tweeter housing, an 8" slim subwoofer custom molded into an enclosure housed in driver side rear cargo area(practically no loss of cargo space!), a 4 channel 400 watt amplifier mounted under the driver's seat to power everything. We also do a back up camera mounted above the rear license plate to top it off.

Feel free to contact me at (310) 854.5454.
I have plenty of pics to share with anyone interested.
