Under Seat Subs: Would these Work?

Looking at popping in some underseat subwoofers, as having two large 10 inchers in the back isn't working for lugging 50 pounds of dogfood around.

After much research, I've come across these:

Amazon.com: Boss BASS1200 10-Inch Low Profile...Amazon.com: Boss BASS1200 10-Inch Low Profile...
Any ideas if these would fit under the passenger and driver's seats?

Looks like size is Dimensions: 15.2 x 11.6 x 2.8 inches.

Anybody else tried these?

Several members have purchased the Boss bass 600, and have stated they will not fit under the seats, so I doubt the 1200 will.

I'm not an audiophile or anything, but I recently installed a pair of kicker DS650's in my smart with the stock radio 9, and I can step out of my car and watch these speaker rattle the outer door panels, and I can turn it up till my ears hurt. My question is, why would you need more bass than that?

@WhiteNBlack08 - It's not about volume, but about power and clearity. I listen to a lot of bass-heavy music on my AVIC-F700BT, and run my Alpine Type S-Speakers at above 125khz, with my subs taking over the lower half. This creates music which is much clearer and less muddy, so my mid-high speakers don't have to take over the job of the subs.

Thanks for letting me know that others have had issues with the Boss Bass 600s. I'll compare the size to the 1200s and go from there.

Hey you can fit the boss600 under the seat with some little modification. Look up under boss600 under seat here. the boss1200 could fit with more of mods to the frame front mounts. but the boss600 would be a cleaner install and be hidden more under the seat then the boss1200. I would go boss600 under both seats if you wanted more. But for the wife the one under the passenger seat is ok for her. hope this helps
James

Thanks for "clearing" that up. Like I said, I'm not an audiophile, but I do like a lot of bass in my music. I had originally planned on installing a Boss bass 600, but the Kickers give me enough bass, so I think I'll spend that money on something else.... Maybe a set of HID headlights?

@Speedracer - You mention that you installed the Boss600 under your seats with some mods. I looked at your pages and couldn't find which mods you used, can you give me a good place to look or an idea as to what was involved?

All that was done to be able to install the boss600 under the pass side seat was to.Remove the front seat cross brace, cut the center section out, weld in some flat bar stock(make it a 3 sided box) for strength, and bolt back in. It looks factory I think. if you need more I could send some more pics to you.
I like it because it doesn't take any storage space and is hidden. It is also lighter then the one under the dash. I was going to put it under there but would of had to take the dash apart(wife would of not been happy it is her car).

Speedracer, the install of the sub that goes under the dash is simple. You don't take the dash apart you just remove the styrofoam wedge that covers the battery and the sub box slides right up into the hollow behind the glove box.

Oh you thought I was talking about the 8"box under the dash..(yes that one you don't need to remove the dash easy mod).....I was talking about putting the boss600 up under the dash but to get it up out of the way of the spare tire/battery area I would need to take the dash apart to make the braces and make it clean looking.
I was thinking of making a pullout storage system to go up under there for secret lockable storage.
