My smart is on the jacks right now (wheels are off for powdercoating)
So, I don`t want to work inside of the car, plus my main computer is crashed.
I reinstalling all my software on my backup system right now. Hopefully by Monday I will have new updates.

Sorry guys.

I believe a 5V voltage regulator is used here, along with a couple of capacitors to stabilize the circuit.

I am going to search Fry's Electronics today. They pretty much have everything. If I find something I will provide the part number. I am thinking Cube removed them from something and then put them in the Smart.

For example, http://www.cyberguys.com/templates/S...roductID=13883
Remove the case and mount in the car

Checked Cyberguys.com and didn't find anything
Checked Radioshack.com and didn't find anything

If you are looking for something to power multiple devices I bought this a Cyberguys. I charge my phone and GPS with it. They also sell some nice 12" cables to keep things less cluttered.

Google

A quick Google found this. I bought something similar in a electronics shop in Hong Kong a couple of years ago. Works great, but of course it is power only. It would be straightforward to hack this into something like Cube did.

I was wondering if Cube was doing something more sinister, like with the OBD port or on the a aftermarket car audio system.

I see ck_az beat me to it.... The device above is bascially the same thing.
