Would this work for a under the seat sub?

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+BASS-600.html

It is only 120 bucks and it looks slim enough to slide under the seat. Any thoughts? I am not sure it will just plug into the radio 10?

Sub under seat

I've ordered same from Radio Shack for $129 yesterday and if someone would have any tips on where to connect on a two speaker model 9 radio I would appreciate. I hope there is prewiring under the driver's seat. So far I have given up on the faults of the standard radio. I will embrace and love it.

Just installed mine last week. It won't fit under either seat. I put mine behind the passenger seat and it sounds great. I'm very happy with it. I paid 112.00 from Amazon and got free shipping too!!

Bass600 Subwoofer

I got mine from Radio Shack online because the stores had no idea what I was talking about. I mounted mine behind the driver's seat. I made a bracket that uses the two rear seat buttonhead screws. At the other end on the unit I used the 2 threaded holes available on each corner, that were actually dedicated to hold the black corner bumpers. This gives the sub a good foundation to the car. There are also two long velcro strips included that should also work and would save a lot of extra effort. Still not hooked up yet because of other more important issues I had to deal with, besides I'm still perplexed where to begin the hookup. I'm going to look for the cable harness under the seat that was meant for the original sub. For the 12Volt Amp. draw the BASS 600 may need more than the small original woofer did. So I may have to connect it in a different way. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Great! Just ordered mine - $115.02 on Amazon. Mostly good reviews on there too

EDIT: I put mine in today. It is on the slanted surface behind the driver's seat. Velcro works like a charm!!! (in fact, I gave up trying to take if off to have easier access to adjust the Low Pass Filter).

Installation was easy. The carpet seems to end just behind the seats where there is a little "lip". I was easily able to hide the wires by shoving them inside the carpet where the two meet. In order to do so I had to take off the plastic that is around the handbrake, which is only held there with one torx screw. Just make sure you have many sizes of torx screws and it will be a breez.

The only thing is that it sticks up about an inch above the top of the slanted surface if you are to use the velcro. If you are OK with drilling holes into your engine compartment you could probably use the corner mounts for a more flush installation, as some bumps near the bottom of the surface inhibit mounting right against the slope with the velcro.

Sound is great. The two little speakers the dealer put in with the Panasonic stereo really struggled to get bass. With the sub I was able to turn off everything below 125Hz on the two speakers and run the sub up to about 130. This creates a full sound throughout the range, and the tiny speakers don't have to work so hard.

While bass response is not panel-shakin' ghetto bass, it certainly makes drum'n'bass, techno, chillout, and industrial music sound really full, and you'll be suprised with how loud and low it hits. There is no way I would turn the knob on the remote level switch more than halfway because the bass will just be too overpowering.

CONCLUSION: While there are better options for a show car (and plenty of room under the dash to build a custom box if you want to do that), this little amplified bass box will probably get you the most bang for your buck, as well as your time and effort on the install itsself. Easy peasy, smooth sound.

OK... I'm ready to hook up my Boss 600 subwoofer behind the driver's seat.

I've identified the wiring per another post here, which was GREAT! (thank you)

Am I to assume that the speaker wire inputs to the subwoofer are HIGH-LEVEL inputs, and NOT low level?

That assumption is correct. They are speaker level outputs.... No line level outs on the factory radios.
