XM Satellite

So, has anyone installed XM sat radio in a Smart? I know you could get a portable and put it in the AUX in but I was seeing if anyone figured out a more elegant solution?

Disclaimer: I just dumped XM recently

Two ways to go - portable unit with cable into the aux plug (works fine) or install a different head unit (radio or nav/radio combo) with sat radio capability (works fine also but more $$$)

Yes I had it on mine there was a huge discussion on this not to long ago alot of us just got rid of xm radio due to to thier current price hike

I kept my Sirius (now same as XM).

Spent over an HOUR on the phone last night discussing a $170 charge that was from them on my credit card. Individual I was talking to was not too helpful. He then asked for my credit card #, I gave him the last four of it. He said he needed the entire # to do a trace and like a fool I gave it to him. Asked to speak to a supervisor and FINALLY got one after him telling me one wasn't around. Spoke to supervisor and asked when rep should ask for a credit card #. His answer was NEVER!

I had gotten a bad vibe from the person I had talked to and then finding out he wasn't supposed to be asking about credit card #'s made it all the worse. So now I have a NEW card coming as I had to go cancel my card right after talking to him! I AM PI$$ED!.

Don't waste your time with satellite radio! ONE BIG HEADACHE!
