another trailer hitch post

i have the etrailer hitch installed on my passion and love it. it was only $150 total shipped. 149.95 for the hitch and 1 ft of wire took it over the $150 free shipping mark. complete with hardware, instructions, ball mount and pin. i have a link to them on my web page; Home

Do you also have the 12' riser since the hitch is only 6 inches off the ground ?

i measured it and the center of the hitch receiver is 6.5" off the ground and the included ball mount is a additional 3.5" rise to where the ball bolts on. i also personally have a 4" mount rise to use if needed but this will work fine with my trailer. (it only has 8" wheels)
and the 6.5" is not any problem because with no rear overhang its too close to the centerline of the axle to have any clearance problems, unless of course it the big 15" and bigger boulders offroad.
i have tried it with my friends jet ski trailer (8" wheels) and it works fine, loaded and level.
im only looking at a mini tent trailer application, no slide-outs or rooftop applications. :-)
20lb tongue weight recommended

My 4 foot by 4 foot trailer has 12 inch wheels and needs about 15 inches to sit level.

I thought this thread was about a hitching post for a trailer.

AS to the hight, just get an adapter. They sell them at stores.

I do not think they make a 1 1/4 adapter that rises 10 inches. 2 inch they do.

4" Sure 10" probebly not

If you need something that high then the smart is not the car to tow with, Once you get up their you wouldn't be able to open the rear of the car.

Check this post out. This is what I am going to do since it is the only one that works with my needs. 15 inches from ground to ball.
