The Auto Rucksack?

I was looking for a roof hitch and found this; auto rucksack.

Could this be a 'backpack' for a Smart?

It is not a trailer but thought it was interesting.

Since the Smart has two parts for it 'hatch', perhaps this could be attached to the tail gaite witout blocking the review / the window?

Perhaps have this moved to the recreation section of the SCOA forum?

I'm liking that idea a lot!! I have a small camper van - and have a towbar-mounted platform that holds a soft bag similar to this one.

So useful for packing light but bulky items that would take up a lot of room if carried in the van.

I was thinking along the same lines for the Smart - but over here the legality of towbars on Smarts is open to doubt, so this is a great find.

Perhaps in conjunction with this cargo deck?

Instead of attaching to the tail gaite, put on cargo deck? Perhaps not over stuff it where it would block the license plate?

But then, wouldn't the front wheels come off the ground

I guess at what speed one is hitting the speed bump and how much one is carrying in the rucksack. With me - at 333 lbs, it is not likely to happen.
