?? single wheel trailer??? I didn't think they could handle that much weight, perhaps you meant a single AXLE trailer??

I am always amazed at the 5th wheel with a trailer combinations. Thats a lot of length to pull. Don't know if I'd be brave enough to try it.

IMO a small trailer is good option versus flat towing. Saves tires and the trailer always doubles as trailer for uses other than just towing the Smart.
