Actually the tent unit pictured on the Dooit (Activity) trailer is from a company called Mombasa, they market it as Roof-Top-Tent. Cartopcamper is a Mombasa dealer like I am.

Looks great and I commend your undertaking, BUT, what is this thing going to weigh in at?

This one should be just under 400 lbs. This is an easy design to scale down for a something like a Smartcar or motorcycle getting it in the 250-275 lb range.

I'm curious are folks more on the DIY side or just want to buy something like this ready-to-roll?

If there is enough interest in DIY, trailers of this nature becoming a vendor might make since, kind of testing the waters right now.

Since I live in an apartment and not much of a DIYer, I would go for the really easy kit or a ready to roll one.

Here's our Timeout. Can sleep 4 adults. Lots of Stand up room.
Weighs around 500 lbs and our Smart pulls it with ease.
