Tap into the power @ the rear lights. There should be a harness available? All you need is the 4-prong.

i got a long drill bit and drilled a hole thru the floor INSIDE by the tail lite wires on the left side and ran 1 wire from the right side turn to the left area on the inside of the car taped down, its ok for now. and ran all 4 wires thru the hole and down to the hitch, i used a flexable piece of plastic rod thru the hole for my pulling snake. takes a little work, nothing physically hard.
my trailer uses neon? lites, not the regular bulbs. after it was all done i put some goop in the hole where the wires go thru so it wont wear thru the wire.

If there is a Harbor Freight nearby, go there - least cost for the trailer - 3.5 x 4 foot. You can see what I did with mine in my gallery.

The trailer is from Harbor Freight. I picked it up from e-bay real cheep. It is due for a complete makeover. It is in great shape. I will lighten up the deck, dress up the side rails, and new paint. Maybe like the red flier pull wagons some of us 40 plus people had as kids.

I bought one of those for my granddaughter for Christmas! They still make them and they're even still wood! - sheureka

PS - And with your red cabrio it would look really, really cool!
