Hi everyone -

Does anyone know of a hitch dealer in south florida (boca) that is capable of creating a hitch setup for a fortwo??

Small load will be towed (fishing tackle)
possibly a small boat

Towing a trailer has safety issues even with professionally made products. Jimmy rigging your bumper on your smart car is not a safe solution.
This is an extremely technical piece of work and your original under bumper is not designed for towing anything. The Smart Car bumper is made of thin stamped steel and only good for impacts. Welding anything to this is strongly discouraged.
The SCU hitch however is computer designed powder coated, strong, factory tested, and comes with a full circuit protection wiring adapter with full 20 amp power out to trailer lights for extra safety. Plus, full installation involves no drilling or modifications. When you look at what it takes from start to finish to get this product off of the line, you would see the value in the price.
You are driving an incredibly well engineered European Mercedes Benz vehicle and there is not a simple or cheap towing or hitch solution for a unique vehicle like this. However, once you have a hitch installed you have a world of possibility for what you can now do with your vehicle.
