Tent Trailer

Here is a tent trailer.

It seems to pop up so easily.

$4800 + good god man just pack a tent roll and sleep on the ground. You can buy a real nice used pop up for that kind of cash.

BigWrap. Yeah I've been looking at this one as well. But almost 5k by the time you get the hitch and all the goodies. It's just too much. 3k and I'd do it.

This one is priced a little better.

Been looking for used but no luck so far. Too old to do the bedroll, sleep on the ground bit as Dink suggests . (Been there ,done that.)

Guess I'll look again at the rigs the guys are putting together with the roof top tent and a utility trailer.

Got any Ideas??? A2Jack

I wish we had that problem here! It's too hot to go camping anywhere here now.

Donnyonee. I'm getting ready to go for the Time Out. Would appreciate your feedback.

1. Hitch... I like how nice and level your set up is. Did you install the hitch yourself or have a vendor do it? Which Hitch and who installed it?

2. Hills...We know the road to Big Bear (18yrs in LA) and know many of the sites you camp at. Lots of big hills. Let us know how the pull to BB worked out, ie what gears you ran and RPMs you were holding.

Thanks. A2Jack.

my trailer has a port sewn into 1 of the sides, with elastic so you could hang a small ac unit on the side.

the smart/trailer seems to take the hill just fine. i do try to use the turn outs when necessary and im in the slower lane on the passing lane sections but it does fine, mostly is 3rd gear, any faster and things are sliding across the dash. i have the etrailer hitch which looks the same as uhauls. and uhaul did install it.
