......in excellent condition. Dark Tint, CC, Premium AM/FM/Cass/CD, Black Mica Sand Met w/Beige Interior. All up to date on services. Tires and brakes replaced just last year. A two-owner non-smoker car that rides and drives great. 84k miles. Advertised on 'autotrader' and 'cars.com' for $9950, but for anyone on this forum I'll accept $8500 CASH. I really need to sell this car before my smart arrives. HELP A BROTHER OUT!

P.S. I know this is listed for 'smart cars for sale', but maybe we need a section for forum members to sell their 'old' cars in order to get their smart cars.....MAKE ANY SENSE?

Mensa.. have you tried Craiglist to list both this car and your other car you have for sale? Selling both would get you really close to your Smart car.

haven't tried 'craigslist' for the cars. i had some other items on there a year ago when i moved and all i got were scam artists contacting me. i gave it up. i still have a piano if anyone is interested.......

but i'm re-upping my ads on 'autotrader.com' and 'cars.com'. the 'cars' one also puts a print ad in our local newspaper, the Indianapolis Star. i'll work hard at selling the Toyota first and THEN try and tackle my Jeep Compass. that one will be more difficult to sell.

thanks for the suggestion though. yes, selling at least ONE of them would get me in better shape. 'if' the economy improves by the time my smart arrives and i'm down to just the Jeep, i might be able to swing that. if not, i DO have another on order with no DDE at this time.

Give Craigslist a shot. It might be worth it. I'm going to start listing cars on craigslist for a local dealer and making money with that when the cars sell.

Give Craigslist.com a shot as you will find more qualified buyers at a general site like that rather than SCOA.
