After reading this forum, do you really think anyone here would pay mark up on something we can get an orphan on? Or just wait until ours arrives?

Since you've paid for it already, tax and all, maybe it would be easier to simply buy/swap the panels to blue?

Also, why sell the accessories, they can be used on the new car too

EBay it is. I just wanted to offer it to the group 1st. This car will sell because it's one of the few with every possible option. It's to rich of a number for this group that’s just worried about dealer fees. Before I got this car I was one of those people willing to pay 2-3k over list just to have it. At the end of the day I Didn’t have to pay this but after owning this car I would be gladly pay if I had to. Smart cars are the greatest!!! Don't feed into the jealous tire kicking people that are bashing them on this forum. Just get one and after you’ll understand what I’m talking about after seeing all the new smiles shinning in your direction. .

Personally, I would rather go through this longgggg process to buy one, not so much about price, but about getting what I want in the car. Also just the simple joy of seeing and taking ownership of a car that I personally ordered. It's the whole experience for me, (the wait just stinks). Good luck! You'll sell it with no prob.

eBay really is the best place to sell the smart for the best dollar. I have noticed, however, of the 14 to 16 cars that are for sale on eBay, my Passion may be the only 2008 that is actually sold. I put on a reserve of $15,995 (all options except premium sound) which was reached within the first 2 days of the auction. The other sellers have put such greedy reserves on the cars that they are unlikely to sell. (Over $20k is rediculous). I am guessing mine will sell for around $18,500. That'll be a bit of a margin, but not much, given the $1200 in tags and tax I had to pay in addition to the eBay listing fees ($110).
I'm disappointed that my wife would rather have a MINI.
