A year ago my dealer was selling pures like that for under 10k because nobody wanted a car with no A/C .

You can get by in Seattle, but other than that, it's a tough go.

I worked at Smart Center Sugar Land, and ALL our Pures had a/c, stereo and power windows, and went for $12k. I know they're '12's, but still.....

Are you sure of that??? I was told by the rep at the Dells on Jun 11th that it would be weeks, not months, till we had a dealer here in Mn to honor the warranties that were part of the purchase price. Lets see.....4.5 months since, must be a dealer here somewhere, we just haven't found out where yet.....corporate secret.

As I recall, the '11 pure was $12,490 with the passion being $1.2k more. Granted, a few options could make up for the $1.2k but then once you get those options you might as well gone for a passion.

So with all the weird price increases smartUSA managed to make the pure not a very good choice. That is, unless you get a bone stock one of course.
