In the spot, I mean. Assuming, somehow, both could share a spot fully. If one's over the line, that one's clearly in violation.
Like the speed cameras that can't confirm who was driving and so you don't get points etc., unless the parking officer witnessed the parking order, an expired meter is either the problem of both cars of neither. If one car is over the line, it would seem that is the violation (and likely the car that came second to the space since the first one in would not likely encounter any obstacles).

This loophole will most likely be closed in the future.

The parking ticket is $25. Getting a lawyer to go to court for you is about $750. Do the math............

I park my Smart in a downtown Denver parking garage now. When I parked in a surface lot, I tried to argue that I should only pay 1/2 because they would always park someone else in front or in back of me, sharing my spot. Course they wouldn't do it and ended up losing a customer. Oh well... If you know of any Smart 'fair parking spots' in downtown Denver, let me know!

FAIR PARKING

What a concept. With so many smaller cars that will be on the streets, it only makes sense. Smaller spacing, signed SMALL CAR SPACE. Like some smart urban and other areas do for motorcycles. Car washes need to get with the program too.

So many opportunities...

You guys need to get a grip. The portion of truly small cars is truly small. Look around.......... I've ridden motorcycles for 38 years, and never got a break on parking.

I know, Godfather, but that doesn't mean it isn't time.

Parking is real estate. Real Estate is priced down to the footage. Why not parking the same way? Another incentive. After all, why shouldn't a Hummer pay more for its 1/2-acre footprint than, say, a motorcycle for its tiny sliver of a footprint, parkingly speaking.
