Hi everyone, I have owned a white/black orphan for a couple of weeks and live in Colorado Springs. As far as I know, I have the third Smart in this town. I would be very interested in attending any CO chapter meetings if someone would please put my name on the list, or, maybe there isn't an organized chapter and we just check in on this site for information. I feel very lucky because I placed my reservation last July and only about 5 weeks ago indicated that I was interested in an orphan. As it turned out, a couple turned up. One with the usual plus up of dealer accessories (not interested and too costly for me) while the second was the exact color I was interested in and only had a couple of extra items added to the cost. My having been availalbe to answer the phone and say YES seems to have made the difference in getting or not getting the car. Again, I feel very lucky the way it turned out. Anyway, I have enjoyed fixing up a spare rim and tire for flat fixing and purchasing 4 other rims so that I could have Blizzaks (sp?) tires mounted for snow use. With the help of this web site, I have figured out the tire changing problem to include what jack, lug wrench and jack points to use and now feel right at home with everything. I would be pleased to help anyone who is still working these issues. The car handles great is a blast to drive. I expecially enjoy the big smiles and hand waving I am getting. I just tell everyone that I am peddling as fast as I can and smile back. What fun.
