Smart in the snow

Hey guys, I have only had my new smart a few days and we get a supprize snow storm. I tell you what i am really amazed how well this little wonder does in the snow. It does just as good or better than my friends audi quattro. I would like to know how others did in the snow here in denver.

Well, everyone can relax. I ordered the Blizzacs and they will be installed on friday so it won't snow for the rest of the winter

Why does everyone freak out for a foot or two of snow.

Some places don't get snow.
Some places get it infrequently enough that they don't plan for it (Las Vegas is one example -- two inches of snow shut the place down for a day earlier this winter).
Some places get snow, but not often enough that everyone knows how to drive in it (Utah, home of the "4x4 Fairy"*)

*Apparently UT drivers believe there is such a being, who flies ahead of their SUVs sprinkling Magic Road Salt so they can drive exactly the same way on ice as they do on dry pavement. Hey, it's as good an explanation of the locals' winter driving habits as anything else I've heard!
