Any Other Wichita Area Smarts?

We just picked up our Smart. Her name is Indi (as in indigio blue or "watch Indi go!"). She's a blue/silver passion cabriolet.

We're looking forward to having lots of fun with her. After watching the idiots on the road last week when the weather was less than perfect, I doubt she'll see snow. She will be probably be safe and sound and warm in the garage most of the winter.

We've spotted a yellow/black Smart once. Anyone on this forum claim ownership?

We live in Emporia, that's about 80 miles from Wichita, we have a silver/silver but we haven't take it to Wichita, Maybe we can plan a meet over there in the spring.

Yep, we're about 2.5 hours from KC. Hmmm ... wonder what's about 1/2 way in-between Emporia and Augusta where we could meet? Again, once the weather gets much better!

And, ALSRAC, congrats on the new family member! The pics were beautiful.

We all just meet in Emporia, a month ago. We had fun down there, with Alsrac. Did you buy your car in KC?

No. Indi was an orphan at the Bloomington, MN Smart Center. My dad owns a red passion cabriolet. We liked it so well, and we thought it was sooo cool! He put his name on the Bloomington orphan list to get one that we could buy.

He picked her up in October, and we finally got her to Kansas in December. <sigh> Too many schedules to try and balance!

I picked my 2009 red rally passion a week ago and I love it ! If you go to www.smartusainsider.com you will see a few other Wichita smarties. Hopefully we can start a rally in Wichita soon. I have seen 3 smart cars in Derby, ks also. A white, blue and yellow one.

That will be fun, got to meet another Smart owner today, here in Wichita, and see their yellow Smart. We used to live in Emporia for about 10 years in the early 70s and 80s. Had a house just off main drag on Lincoln for many years, just sold it a few years ago. We love the drive between ElDorado and Emporia, love the Flint hills!
