Anyone in town have a tire?

I know this should be in the marketplace, but I was wondering if anyone in town had a rear tire for sale? I had a blowout, and NTB won't have one till the end of the week. And I've done been rear-ended by the dealer for the wheel. (No, really, they DID give me a discount.) Just trying to get my baby on the road again!

Thanks!!
Anita

I'd be happy to help if you were a little closer.

I'm curious though. Blowout? Did you hit something?

Good luck.

You are doing better than I did with NTB. I had a flat near there that ruined the tire and NTB said they couldn't get a replacement as they were not available through their system. So I was towed to the dealer and bought there

What I should do is buy a front and a rear from Tire Rack and keep them in the basement. If I wreck a tire I'd have one.

Just take my chances if I am on a trip but that is unlikely as I always use the other car for trips.

Anita, try contacting the "Tire Rack". They usually have them in stock. you can check out their website

www.TireRack.com

and they'll ship it to you. Even with shipping from South Bend Indiana, I would imagine you would get it sooner than waiting for NTB.

Just a suggestion......GOOD LUCK!

Thanks guys! The NTB tire was $107, and would take 3-5 days. The dealer had one for $122. Worth it to me to get it today! Oh, but the hits just keep coming folks...my son called & said the front rim was bent as well. So, I'm getting the front tire & rim tomorrow. I should be good as new tomorrow night. Poorer...but it's just money, right?? (Ha!)

I'm seriously considering getting 4-all-the-same tires & wheels. That way, I could carry a spare & taker care of myself! Oh, wait...I still need a jack. Good grief! We can send a man to the moon, but I can't fix a flat tire in less than 3 days! LOL!!

So, since I'm all taken care of with my tires, I guess the moderators can delete this topic. Thanks again for all your replies! It's good to know all y'all care. Thanks so much again!!

Anita

Forgive me but ... although we have the know how to put humans on the Moon, we haven't had the hardware to do it for the past 37 years. Dayum, we've got people approaching middle age who can't remember the last time humans went beyond LOW Earth orbit.

About your proposed spare: even without going all around same size, you can have a spare front. It will do just fine on the rear too, as a spare. Yeah, you'd still need a jack and wrench though.
