Here is a general map quest of the route and it is about an hour drive so the KC smarts should meet at about 9:30AM. From the replies I have

The Legends is a great place to rendezvous, assuming we pick a *spot* as the place is enormous! (Nebraska Furniture Mart, that is.)

This is off-topic but may it may save your life! Inside NFM, they sell See's Candies. Let me give you a heartfelt recommendation for them! I gave my ----- of a mother-in-law some 3 weeks ago, and it TAMED her!! Wow, complete change in personality! Since then, she's even announced she's getting married (which removes MY name from the duty roster for household chores!)! So, anyone with monsters in their life, take heed! See's is amazing! Must have drugs in it!

9:30 sounds good.

SOUND OFF KIDS! Who else is going? More is better.

Funny ... my mother-in-law used to send me a 2-lb. box a couple of times a year ... what exactly are you telling me ... ;-P

As per directions -- if you are coming from the East, you'll want to get off of the toll road at the first Topeka exit, #183 (at the toll plaza), to travel on I-70 W, then take exit #362C (10th Ave/Madison St.). You'll want to stay in the right-hand of the two left-turn lanes, as you'll be making a right turn off of 10th shortly thereafter. Travel through 4? traffic lights and take a Right on Jackson (one-way street going North, on the East side of the Capitol building)
If you are coming on I-70 from the West, take the 8th St. exit (sorry, haven't driven that direction lately to know the number). The exit ramp feeds into a one-way street (Monroe) and a traffic light at 8th. As soon as you can, get into the far right lane so that you can turn right at the light on 10th, stay in the right lane, travel two blocks and take a right onto the afore-mentioned one-way street (Jackson)..

Loads of stuff on tap for y'all, depending on the weather and the mood of the crowd. Looks like they took some of the rain out of the forecast, so should be a beautiful smart kind of day!!

Thank you Karen for the more detailed directions and I will forward those on to the members that do not visit the forum. I sent off an e-mail of when and where our April gathering is a few days ago and I only got four replies back.... two yes and two no. One of the yes is from someone not on the forum and the other is from one that I knew as a confirmation. Please if you are planing to join us on the wagon train please let us know. Smark and I will be at Nebraska Furniture Mart by 9:15am and leaving by 9:30am. Here are the members that I know right know that will be coming from KC....

If you are not on this list and are planning on attending again please let us know. I know of one or two members from Wichita that are planning on joining us. ALSRAC I hope that you have that side covered.

Thanks again,
Andy "Sr Swatch"

I hope rain doesn't hurt us Saturday. I can't wait to drive though the toll booths on I-70, with the little cars.

Smark,

you've got nothing to worry about: SUGAR melts, poop floats!

Can't wait to see my next picture! Wooo-hoooo! But wait: you wouldn't Photoshop a man who just lost his job would you??? I did, in fact lose mine Monday. Maybe you want to hire me as a 'model?' I work cheap!

Heh heh, I'll let you rich, employed people pay for my turnpike toll Saturday!

BTW, where shall we meet? I know NFM, but where? I swear, the parking lot spans three time zones!

Looking forward to driving in the rain and seeing Topeka!

Terry

I'll contact Dan to see if we can "meet" sometime at the turnpike, I don't think is a good idea get into Emporia and having him to pay double toll.

Sorry about you job, big guy. No uncalled for drawings!!! You saw this weeks news about Hallmark, layoffs. Andy will being paying all the tolls. Maybe in the next 6 months, I will be working the toll booths. Government job, or is that state? Pocket some coins. Sell hot dogs to people going though the toll booth. Maybe draw there pictures.

Honk your horn, flash your lights. Just meet in the middle entrance some place. We will try and be they about 9:15. Its Sharon's birthday. she might want to sleep in, or Yada yada yada yada. The pool man you know. Nice looking chap.
