DDE Despair

All through the year I have been following the DDE with anticipation, watching the DDE months "move back" toward the me as the months in the year moved forward. That is, my delivery date estimated moved from late in 2009 to November 2008-January 2009, with January 2009 1 year after I reserved my smart.

Now the despair part, I confirmed my order about 8 weeks ago. i looked the DDE last week, and the DDE has now moved to January 2009-April 2009.

Geez.

I trust you all enjoyed Emporia. As a graduate of KSTC (72), now ESU, I can say it is a great school and Emporia is a good little college town.

Nice to see the shot of the bridge over Lake Wooster. My wife and I, while students there, spent some nice times in the bridge.

And don't worry about the DDE, just remember that everyday you are closer to get your Smart!!!

Mine said later too. It said Sept-Oct. Came in the first of August. Look at it this way, when you get it, those nice long drives in January. With the windows down. Wind chill at -20 degrees. Winding thought the snow. I was a the dealer yesterday for service. The 2009's are in. There were a lot of them on the back lot. Maybe you'll get it Christmas Day. Santa will drop it down the chimney. Its small.

Better today. I spoke to the dealership, they have a probable date of delivery of 1/25/09, which would be 1 year since the reservation, so . . .
better today.

Your DDE moved to exactly where ours did (from Sep-Nov 09) and our dealer gave us the 25 Jan 09 ETA also.

UPDATE: ours just moved again, now 12/26/2008 to 3/26/2009.

You are correct, sir. I checked the DDE at 4:48 PM CST, and it now has a specific date range that mirrors yours.

How about that. Guess it is time to arrange the loan and insurance coverage.

An update, I went over to smartMerriam on Saturday, 1/24/09, to pick up 2009 booklet and to price out some options. I spoke to Joe, the manager. I was expecting my smart the week of 1/26/09. He had just pulled the list of pending arrivals, and mine, along with quite a number of others is now set for 3/7/09. Of interest there is at least one passion cabrio for sale, and a couple of Brabus (sp?) there too.

Anyway, another 6 weeks.

I was told 07 Mar 09 as well?

With a build date of 26 Jan 09.
