December and January Activities!

Happy Holidays Fellow Smartians!

This is to begin the plans for our December activity. We have a What, we just need a When and a Where!

The What is a social gathering (as opposed to a cruise, parade or car ballet). In the spirit of the holidays, let's get together and share a beverage, some laughs and RELAX for a while!

This could likely happen at a coffee shop, a restaurant or a nudie bar. Wait, scratch that last one! We could get together some evening, or perhaps a weekend afternoon. It could be on the Plaza, but it will be soooooo busy that, even though it's BEAUTIFUL and I love it, I wouldn't recommend it. But since this is a democracy, we'll have it where ever the club WANTS to have it! Andy seems to get along well with monkeys, so maybe he'll vote for the Great Ape House at Swope Park. Ha! Just kidding! But there ARE no wrong answers. It's whatever you think (and can persuade the rest of us to go along with!)

Let's hear from you: Where shall we meet and When?

I'll go first and say I vote for somewhere in Parkville (they have a zillion potential places) on Saturday December 6th.

What say YOU, O Smart Ones?

I say lets go to Parkville this time. It pretty up there. Nice little village. Smaller homes, like in Risk Lake. Is that brewer/restaurant still by the train track. It would be nice place to meet.

Steve, yeah, my house DWARFS those piddling things at Riss lake. <cough cough> Ha, I like the "Buy one then fore close."

Hope you and everyone had a fine Turkey Day. I've awoken from my tryptophan coma and well, I feel like another turkey sandwich!

Ruth (remember Ruth?) emailed me and suggested Waldo as an alternate place for the Holiday Decompress. I'm passing her idea along in case anyone else wants to chime in.

I will scout out a specific suitable location in Parkville and will get back here shortly. Till then, help keep the economy going! SPEND MONEY!

Terry

Anyone have any spare rims sitting around? I'm getting the impression i'm needing snow tires with my 25 mile commute (each way).

On a positive note, i'm on a mission to get rid of $9,000 in toys this year. Its 1 toy per household (sadly) and per-say there free. Your more then welcome to donate them to a neighbor. I'd have to explain the details in person though.

Terry,

I'm good with either location. Is Ruth going to suggest a Waldo location?

I'd vote for Parkville. Waldo is a bit scary after dark, but ok during the day.
