Hello again!
Did some reconnos... reconasance... reconisance... I went to Parkville and checked it out! And let me back up and say, with apologies to Ruth, I miss-quoted her. She suggested BROOKSIDE, not Waldo. Silly me, trying to write from memory! Ha!
But I will stick with my earlier suggestion of Parkville. Mike N. (who is not on the Forum but LIVES there) made some suggestions as to a specific place. I visited ansd asked questions and here is what I found:
If we want FOOD, Stone Canyon Pizza is a great place. Private room just for us, coffee, beer, pizza, sandwiches, reasonable prices but not a great view. Alternately, Tommy T's Malt Shop has burgers, fries, malts (duh!), etc. Sadly no coffee BUT! The dining room is an old Pulman Coach train car! Windows looking out to parking and shops, GREAT ambiance! They DO have hot chocolate. Both places are in downtown parkville. Depending on Things, we may be able to park immediately in front of either. Or, more likely on a Saturday, we can park less than a half-block away. The weather is supposed to be sunny and mid-40s. The shops are cute and quaint.
Do we want to have lunch? And if so, would we rather have pizza / sandwiches or burgers?
If the group just wants a cofffee shop, there is one about 5 minutes away, but it isn't in Parkville -- it's in a rather beautiful strip shopping center called the Tuilleries (TOO-lurees).
So what say you, MO-KAN SmartCar Club members? I would like to meet around 11 altho really the time doesn't matter too much to me. How 'bout you? Sing out!
Oh! One last thought! Maybe, just MAYBE we could all decorate our cars, however we saw fit, for the Holiday Activity! I can see it now, Steve's car will have bright, festive lights all over it... and a really loooooooong extension cord!
