Fellow Smartians,
Today I woke up and realized how lucky we are to have cool cars, great friends and the FREEDOM to enjoy both! So I lit a couple dozen M-80s, had breakfast and posted this.
Now, in light of our many gifts, I think it time to exercise our choices!
LET'S PLAN A JULY ACTIVITY!
First the bad news:

-Yes, it's hot. *yawn*
-Yes, many folks are traveling, committed or otherwise obligated. *yawn*
-(Fill in your favorite bad news here). *yawn!*
Now, the GOOD news!

-It's summer!
-We have established that we like each other!
-We have also established that we like to eat!
I say we combine these happy facts and -- no, Smark, not "indulge in cannibalism."
I was thinking we should have a BBQ picnic! Like you, I am busy busy busy, but no one expects you to participate in EVERY activity. If you can't, you can't. But if you CAN, how does the last Sunday of the month, July 26th sound? We could meet at Antioch Park (or anywhere), chat and chow down.
Since it's ME writing this, I always have questions, right? (See?) (SEE!)

So here goes:
A. Are you interested?
2. Are you available?
2a. Do you have a better idea?
If enough of us answer Yes to A and 2, we'll start organizing. Like, When, Do we cook or do we just bring food, Shall we try to make this a Big Deal because Hey It may be The last Really Nice Weather For An Outdoor Shindig, Who does what, How will we get ice cream to not melt, Who brings the kangaroos, etc.
I can foresee a pleasant meal together, providing us time to catch up, discuss the (probable) 1st Annual Smart Nationals coming here next June, and time to take a cruise together.
What say you?
Happy Independence Day!!
Terry
