Second Fill - 37.7 mpg

Second tank (First tank was filled at Costco in KCMO, 91 octane, no alcohol). The fuel indicator was at 1 bar. There were 272 miles on the clock and I re-filled it at Costco in Lenexa,Kansas with 91 octane until the pump shut off. It took 7.199 gallons, which calculates to be 37.77 mpg.

This was in mixed driving. (I-35 rush hour does not really count as highway miles.) I decided to leave the transmission in auto mode during the engine break-in period (with an occasional kick down.) I did run the heated seats some and I think it is a reasonable assumption that resistance heating in the seats puts a considerable demand on the engine.

Cheers!

My first post to this Forum Section.

My res # was 1173. I picked up my Cabrio on Wednesday. Black w/ Silver Safety Cell.

I am pleased with the car. However it is not my primary driver.

(I see there is another 1173 reservation number. I am looking at my original reservation email dated March 19, 2007. I think I am looking at the right number :

"Your confirmation number is XXXXX11173.")

Regardless I do have the car. The weather looks good this weekend. Time to go for a drive. Top down and heater on.

webb...,

Welcome and enjoy, most of us are still looking forward to receiving our cars.

The 1173 represents March 19, 2007, so anyone that made a reservation that day has the last four numbers of 1173. If you made a reservation on the 20th your last four would be 1174 etc.

The first numbers are a time stamp using the 4 hour clock. For example my confirmation is 3321801184. The 1184 is march 30th Reverse the other numbers and you have the time stamp 08 12 33, 8am 12 minutes and 33 seconds

Me too, great minds etc. She said the Feb allocation was much smaller than the January one. Also the new delivery messages no longer have the reservation number on them so they can no longer tell what day the original reservation was made.

I am of the mind that my original estimate of a mid March or later delivery is going to be close.

Don:
Dang it!! I can't believe we've waited all these months...and the last few weeks are going to be so UNBEARABLE!!! (OK...sorry...I had to let it out!) :-)

That's good to know that the Feb. shipment was much smaller. It was hard to believe that 25 more cars came in, and I wasn't in there. I'm really WAY overthinking this. I must get out more...or I must drink more...LOL!

Just a quick note to my KC Smart Friends. I just received in the mail the GoMiniGo "No Holes" Front License Plate Bracket. This is the bracket that fits in the front Toe Hook attachment point. It seems pretty simple but effective. I will keep this list updated after I get the car registered and the Missouri license plate.

I have not even driven my car since I took delivery last week. Between bad weather and busy scheduling I have not spent any time with my new car. I am gonna go play with it right now.
