Mine is #1247 somewhat of a wait at this point! What did you reserve/configure? Mine will be the "Passion" fully loaded with everything in blue metallic/ silver tridion. I may get the extra body panel in black! I want to get some Brabus bling stuff too.

DB: 1189 is the last 4 of my res. number. Configured on 11/16.

I haven't gotten 'the' email yet today.

Whoops...Aristocrat's phone is 913-677-3300. (Hope that's OK.)

Anita,

My number is 1184. Configured on 10/26. The dealer said he would call me today to let me know what he had received from PAG. I figure that the car will be available in late Feb. or early March.

I have had the number programmed in my cell for about three weeks LOL

Db

DB: Really? That late? I just can't conceive of THAT many reservationsists in this area. Figure we are approx. number 5500 in the WHOLE USA...and I'd venture to say most of those are on the coasts, CA mostly. So how far down the list, in our area, can we possibly be?

Dang it...haven't we waited long enough??? (insert pouty lip here.)

(All in good fun...mostly.)

i don't think it really works like that (area wise). most car dealers get allocations of cars relating to how many they sold the previous year. with no data for Smart, this is why they did the rez list.

so just for fun, let's say that 90% of the cars were ordered from CA and 2% from MO. if Smart follows the pattern of the industry, then CA would get 90% of the first cars and MO would get 2%. i guarantee you it's nothing like they are shipping 100 cars to each dealer. doesn't work like that.

BMX: I get what you are saying; I understand, and that's the way I thought it would work. The bigger markets have more reservations, get more cars. I just thought like this:

KC Area: (1) 1173
(1) 1180
(1) 1184

Etc. etc. Like that. So, even if I'm 1189, I would still be up the list further & faster than the bigger markets. See what I mean? But hey...I'll just take a breath... and be calm. It's closer than it was 8 months ago, and almost here!

Yippee!!

yea, i got ya. it would make sense that you are up on your list but if MO only gets 2% of the cars, they may only get 2 a month where CA with 90% would get 20 or 30. all just speculation though from my experience with car dealers (i buy a lot of new cars). i'm actually from KC originally and live in San Diego now.

KC had over 500 reservations when the total reservation figure was 30000 or 1.6% of the total . Now figuring that they will be importing 24000 cars, 1.6% (I realize the error potential here) of those would be a yearly number of 386 available to KC. That works out to 32 cars per month
I feel sure that reservation date 1184 is in the first 5000 . That 5000 represents 16% of the total deliveries for the year. Thus 16% of 386 is 62. That puts the end of the first 5000 cars delivered in early March, I speculate that because the dealer has to have show room cars and demo's.

Now how is that for a waste of time, having nothing else to do but wait for the car?
