I propose we meet THIS Sunday at Rosedale BBQ. Anita checked earlier and they are open Sunday. I suggest 12:30. Plenty of room to spread out, good food, mediocre visibility, but we can parade down Southwest Blvd after if we want!

Disclaimer: I am NOT trying to be the KC Smart Czar. If anyone has a Different idea, SING OUT! But if we can agree on the place and time, then I will endeavor to PM the folks who used to post to our list and invite them, too. Seems like more notice will be better than less.

This democracy stuff is hard!

Please, I need to hear from several of you with Yeas and Nays to this question:Will Sunday, 7/13/08, at 12:30 PM at Rosedale BBQ work for you (ie. WILL YOU ATTEND)?.

Again, if you have a different idea, say so now! Otherwise, this can be Step 1 toward us getting organized as the KC Smartcar Club or whatever.

Count us in! We had a small (5 of us) get together earlier at Rosedale, and it worked out GREAT! You're right, plenty of room to spread out, and reasonable prices & food. And last time we were there, we got LOTS of attention. We were all rock stars! LOL!!

I'll call Rosedale's today, but I don't think it's a problem for them to have us. I'm not sure if they take 'reservations' I doubt it. Last time, we just showed up, ordered our food, and went outside to eat. Of course, it'll be swealtering on Sunday, so we'll probably eat inside. (My vote anyway! LOL!) But I'll call them & tell them we're coming anyway. K?

Anita, Thanks for volunteering to call Rosedale. I agree, even if there are twice as many of us as we now have, it won't rattle their cage. Still I'd feel better if we warned them! Besides, maybe they'll give us a Smart discount: Half Off! :

Spoke with Joe from Aristocrat today (as did Don). While he won't be able to attend our Meat and Meet Sunday, he's offering us assistance and support. We'll talk about it Sunday!

Bring your ideas, questions and concerns but most of all, bring your ENTHUSIASM!

We'll meet, chat, eat, exchange ideas about how we want our club to organize and operate, and MAYBE we'll even drive around!

I'll being my camera, notebook, M&Ms (you can't have a decent meeting without them!), name-tags and whatever else I think of. I would love to get a photo of the cars and owners lined up in order of delivery date!
