Hello everybody,
Contrary to the evil lies Smark has been spreading about me, I do NOT hibernate during the winter! I have an annual obligation to promote an event in February that takes ALL of my time from around Christmas till mid March. I just stepped back out into the bright Sunshine of Smartland and blinked and saw that you have been busy!
I am very proud of you and of your club-activities!!

I only wish I could have participated more. I understand there were some (how shall I put it?) 'unenlightened' folks who made remarks at WOW that were off-putting to some. I WISH I'D BEEN THERE! With my Third-degree black-belt in Mouth Karate, I would have had some fun! Oh well, maybe it's better this way, with no lawsuits (or arrests!).
Anyway, I read and re-read all that has been posted since my last visit, and now I am very much looking forward to our next activities! To wit: the Dealership-sponsored event on the 21st will be fun and edumacational. And if anyone wants to (?) visit, scope-out, "crash" -- perhaps a poor choice of words -- the Snake Saturday Parade, I will be attending, too, but perhaps a bit after the actual parade. It is a day-long party of activities centered around something or other. Oh! That's right, St. Patrick's Day! A friend of mine will be participating in the BBQ contest, but he has already warned me off with a "No, Terry, you CAN'T come and eat the judges' samples!" Drat. Anyway, my point is that this could well be a worthy activity for us for next year in lieu of WOW. That is not my vote, BTW, I'm just sayin'.
Assuming I still have the same job next February,

I won't be participating in EITHER event. *sigh*
Onward to better thoughts, who knows of any other parade that we can be in? Details, please. Also, I think we should plan some sort of Summer Picnic, and make it into an annual event. Smark, how big is your yard?
One of my hopes is that at some point we have a dedicated web-site, where we could lay out a calendar of potential events, months at a time, that we could then collectively cuss and discuss, in order to choose which ones we DO.
For instance, there are a number of poker runs to raise money for umpteen different charities. I'd be willing to bet that, if we VOLUNTEERED to be the chase / support vehicles, we could participate for free and could garner a ton of good will. Just one of a million thoughts.
Alright, you've proven you still love me if you've read this far.

Thanks Andy for spearheading the WOW event. It looks like it was a bunch of fun! The display was brilliant! What do you know about the Dealer event on the 21st? And what role shall WE play in it? And who is going to the New Car Auto Show next weekend? I will be there Friday from 2-close.
Smiles,

Terry
