I look at the forecast, Sunday is going to be nice. Never know
Smark,
Napalm works MUCH better than lighter fluid! Of course, it tends to incinerate the charcoal...
Again, I offer to bring missing things. No Alphonso, I'm not referring to your lost socks. I AM referring to cookies, watermelon, a shock collar for Smark, and perhaps ants. Recently, I gave a friend a box of scorpions for a BD present. Said it was the most memorable gift he ever received! And I, too, think ants are necessary. What else would we do with the leftover napalm?
ReLAX! That's just a JOKE! I would NEVER burn ants with napalm! That would be cruel and totally inhumane.
Where we going to meet? Clint mention Star bucks, I thinks 119th Blackbob.
What time are we leaving Sunday morning?
Are we wagon training?
Who's all going?????
@Smark, here's the list. A wagon train would be good. I don't know if there are other activities planned, or if it is just going to be a picnic. Either way is fine, but if it IS just a picnic, then we should be there around 11:30, so we can chop down some trees for the fire... I mean, so we can get the grill going for a Noon meal. If there ARE other activities planned (Lula wants us to help paint their living room ), then we may need to leave earlier.
If my first guess is right, we would need to leave KC around 10-ish.
OK gang, sing out if you are IN on the wagon train!
Alphonso, give us some guidance, buddy!
Andy, what say you?
I say 10ish, leaving from the usual area... 119th and I-35 (Target). Please let me know who all is in so that we make sure we have enough hamburgers and hot dogs. Also let us know what extras you are planning on bringing for the picnic. Alfonso let me know which park you picked so that I can send out the updated email tomorrow afternoon.
Ok guys we're getting closer,
Here is the list of food we'll have:
Hamburgers
Hot dogs
Chips
Potato salad (mayo based)
Cookies
Pop
We can meet at the Walmart parking lot, double check if we have everything (if not we'll go to get it at Walmart), and then go the park.
I'd picked Jones Park, I liked better, maybe because it was my "backyard" for over 4 years.
We had just planned the picnic, but as Terry said you're more than welcome to come and help us paint the living room and the whole house , and taking advantage of your generosity we can split the paint's bill too .
Seriously we are open to ideas, if you want to do something else besides the picnic just say it, perhaps you may want to go for another off road trip to Bird Bridge , the possibilities are endless.
I sent an e-mail to Dr. Hicks and the other Smart owner we met at Walmart but they haven't write back yet, so the list of people coming still the same.
Starbucks is down the street about another block, I will be there then go to Target or we can meet there. It's always good to fill your bladder before driving a long distance ; )
Alfonso, when we get to Emporia. Should we all meet at the Walmart store, for food. It's off Industrial road????? I think thats near the new high school.
Alfonso, get on your Wichita group about coming!!!!!!!! Its all about meeting new Smart people!!!!
Oh.......(If Doctor Hicks is there, he can look at Terry's brain too after lunch.)
Steve, yes all of us can meet at the Walmart parking lot off Industrial road, I think is exit 133, you just take a right and the Walmart is going to be at your left, by the time you get here we will have everything, then we check and if we got all the stuff go to the park.
I just sent another e-mail to Dr. Hicks and Butch hopefully they respond this time and join us on sunday.
I'm going to write a reminder to the Wichita people, so far just Dan has responded saying he is coming.
This is starting to come together. Here are some random thoughts:
1. Karen, how will you get your pasta salad to the picnic?
2. Dan and Paulette, I don't know you yet, but I'd like to apologize in advance.
3. Alphonso, Jones Park looks great. And I WOULD like to visit Bird Bridge again, we can see if Smark floats! If so, do you have a BB gun? Meeting at the WalMart will be fine. Is there anything you want us out-of-towners to bring? I'm bringing a Frisbee, maybe Andy will bring his hacky sack. Does anyone have a crouquet set? Any other food items or "infrastructure" things?
4. Steve, should I bring my brain in case Dr. Hicks shows up? I wasn't planning to.
We need to discuss a June (and July) Activity, so bring your ideas. Also, we OWN the domain name mokansmartcarclub dot com, and we WANT to create a website. So remember your homework assignment from April! Your ideas, connections, energy and enthusiasm are needed more than anything except maybe the shock collar for Steve!
