MO KAN Cards

I want to open this thread so everybody can see and post their ideas for the Cards for our club. If we have the cards ready for the gathering the 20th at Aristocrat we could recruit more people.

Here is my original idea, pretty simple and cheap to print because it uses just black ink, you can see the line under "invited by" so the person who invites the other person can put their nickname.
This is the design I still have on hold to be printed:

If there is a card site out there that we can submit one design template that each of us can access and order what ever we need that would be great. I will check on the template with the latest site I received from GRIFF. I will keep you all posted.

I like the idea, we could wear them in every meeting so the new members know who we are.
Here is my idea, instead of our name, our nickname, instead of the picture of our car, the drawing of the car painted in our car's color, and finally instead of our contact info, our hometown, here is the design:

Sorry guys, but I have cards on order already.... they should be here by Monday. They are my personal cards with a picture of my car, my contact information, the web addresses, and the club logo on the back. When I get them and see how the logo printed I will more then likely order another batch with just the logo, our web addresses, and "join us" or something written on them. I will then pass them on to all of you so that you can pass them out to cars when you spot them.

Thanks,
Andy

Sounds good Andy. How did the logo work out for you. Send me a email with a JPG of you card. Like to see it.

We just got back from northeast Oklahoma, and the Ozarks in Arkansas. Eureka Springs Arkansas, was a great place to showcase my little Smart car. People ask so many question about the car. It was a great road trip. 650 mile all together. Fun 2 lane switch back roads. Car ran great, in the small mountain roads, and hill. Beautiful country side. Nice victorian turn of the century town. I will post some photo's. Too many photo's to pick from like Terry.

I'm going to print my own cards in full color, at work. Info on the back about the car. Short run till our own web site is finished. I've used different version of the logo. People down there were asking for some kind of card.

Here are the calling cards. 8 different designs based off the logo. I've been passing them out here in the KC metro area. Handed a few in Arkansas, and Oklahoma. They lead to this site, till our web page is finished (Terry). Some info on the back too. Anyone who wants any, let me know. To pass out. So far they have been free. This is the copy on the back of the card. I may do some one off T-shirts too.

Alsrac,

Thanks for making and organizing this thread. Seems like we have so much creativity that we may have accidentally stepped on each other's toes. I hope not. If anyone has had their feeling hurt, I want to assure you that it was unintentional. Unless I did it, then I meant to.

Here is my 2 cents on the cards:
The purpose of the cards is to hand them out, ultimately leading to growth in our club.

A secondary purpose would be to identify ourselves at meetings, by using them as a nametag.

Alsrac, Sr. Swatch and Smark have all made cards that look good and will be well accepted. I don't think it much matters WHICH card gets handed out. And in the event that a newcomer gets, say an Alsrac card, and then a few weeks later a Sr. Swatch card, and then still later, he/she gets a Smark card, well, they will join us to keep from getting any more!

Having said all that, it WOULD be nice if we were united in our efforts. But I do not want to crush creativity and initiative. Hopefully, by this time next year, WHEN WE HOST THE NATIONAL RALLY (maybe), we will be united and will all be on the same page. Till then, gentlemen, HAND OUT YOUR CARDS!

Now, a long time ago (last year), right after my first encounter with you goons, I suggested we use our SCOA forum avatars (enlarged a bit) as nametags for meetings. By this I mean the little cartoonish Smarts that some of us had made. Color would be right, posting name would be right there, the only thing missing would be our actual name. Obviously, for those of you who don't use those avatars, you could still get them for name tags (they were free). This would let everyone know who everyone was, and it would let people connect forum names with human faces and the appropriate Smart car.

I still like this idea, but I acknowledge the fact that I will never get this done. Don't have the know-how or equipment to do it. So, if this idea resonates with anyone, and YOU have the time and smarts to get it done, feel free to do so! If not, well, life will go on.

Again, THANKS and a big tip of the cap to Alsrac for all the work you've done for our club. Keep it up!

Smiles and squirrel I mean cat I mean CHICKEN,
Terry
