MO-KAN June Activity

Fellow Smartians,

Just heard from Amanda at Aristocrat that they are planning another Dealer-Hosted Event.

I have almost NO details yet, but here is what I know: it will be Saturday, June 20th. Amanda said is it will be a circus [NOT! It's a carnival! See next post.] like they had last year.

More info is coming shortly. She will be sending out e-vites soon.

Here is more information about June's activity:

Date: June 20, 2009
Time: 11:00 am -- 3:00 pm
Location: Meriam Smart Center 9400 W. 65th St, Merriam, KS
Food: Burgers, brauts, ice cream, chips, soda

This will be a carnival (not a circus, the elephants are on strike), with kid-friendly activities so Smark will be engaged. These will include face painting, the bouncey-castle and slide, along with a petting zoo. Sorry, it won't be a Heavy petting zoo, that's for adults.

During the event, we will be given the chance to have a MO-KAN SmartCar Club meeting, and to solicit new members!

After it ends, perhaps we could have a club cruise.

Presumably, you will receive an e-vite soon, with RSVP instructions from Amanda.

Ruth here! Got kicked off the web site and couldn't remember my password and I never could get the system to send me a hint, so i had to create a new account. So I'm back and badder than ever. Where would we cruise? I'm such a bad club member.

Hi Ruth!

Long time no see! Or read! Glad you conquered the Computer Monsters and returned! So I don't forget my passwords, I write them all on the front of my monitor with a Magic Marker. That way I CAN'T forget them! One of my Smart friends suggested writing them on the BACK of the monitor, supposedly for security reasons, but I think it's just so I could read the screen without having to squint so much. Whatever!

I for one am glad you're 'badder than ever' because we ARE the baddest SmartCar Club on Earth! Just look at us! Bloods, Crips, even Hell's Angels cringe when we roar up! We strike fear into the hearts of EVERYONE! So it's good that you're badder than ever, because frankly, you weren't bad enough before. Sure, you have a great smile, but I think an eye patch and some tattoos might offset that nicely!

As for the cruise, we need ideas. A while back we took a drive out to Shawnee Mission Park, and that was fun! Maybe we could repeat that, or maybe YOU have some thoughts on the matter. Don't know where your hangout is, but we could all come visit for dessert!

I would LOVE to!

I wish our whole club could come up there to wipe our special brand of sickness all over the Dells!

Sadly, I am not able to, and most of the rest of my mates are in institutions (penal or mental ), so it's doubtful we'll make a showing. But we support you and applaud your efforts! Hope you have a ton of Smarts attending! (Oh, and a mosquito shortage, great weather, friendly press coverage, no accidents or conflicts, lotsa fun and good connections!)

Speaking just for myself, I have enjoyed following the threads as your event has developed. And I'm looking forward to the summary / play-by-play and

the PICTURES!
