Hi everybody and welcome back Terry hopefully you'll be walking soon , as FUN42 said, the idea is to go to a BBQ restaurant to enjoy real BBQ, I was an awful cook who depended on a microwave to survive by myself, then I got marry and got my personal chef Lula but she doesn't especialize in BBQ, but of course everybody can come to our house and meet the rest of our family, Mushu: a sweet winnie dog and Max: a monster...I mean a huge Lab, and while we are here we can see Terry's 4000 pictures at the Nellis Air Force Base .
And well, about the baby who knows he/she might want to come out that day or maybe not.
Now, about december we can organize that here in Emporia, Terry's idea sounds Terryfic!! count us in...well will do our best with 3 babies by then...and just in case nobody can get a red Humvee don't forget that our Durango has been the Smart's mom in many meetings and I know where to get a Santa's suit but I WON"T wear it!!!

OK All,

I have done some ciphering and I have come up with this. If we were to meet in the Target parking lot at 119th and I-35 between 11:00AM and 11:30AM then we should arrive in Emporia (Bobby D's) by 12:30PM to 1:00PM. I have included the mapquest link for reference and for those that may want to meet us there later. Please let me know who will be meeting me so that I know how many people I should be waiting for before we embark on our journey. Also if this time frame does not work for everyone don't hesitate to speak up.

As much as I hate to get up early, I vote for meeting at 10:00, or even 9:30, to allow 'wait time' for the stragglers. Then we can get underway so as to get to Emporia by or before noon. When I drive down there, it takes me two hours, but that's from Gladstone.

The sooner we get there, the more time we have for meals, meetings and miscellaneous mischief! Did I mention mirth? Well we should have plenty of that!

Andy, thanks for the link. Alfonzo, thanks for the mental image of YOU wearing a Santa suit!

Can't wait to see what you guys have lined up for us to do. And no I DON'T want to visit the jail! Depending on the response, might the local media want to know about of our presence? Or not, I don't care. I still feel burned from NONE of the media coming to the halloween party. Oh well...

I will let you know the responses as they come in.

Your minutes didn't show up - just the "11:" portion of the time. Can you repost the meeting time? Or perhaps we'll just finalize it as we get closer to next Saturday.

Andy: The map is correct, in my case, I would take exit #130 instead of #133, if you take exit #130 and turn left, that is Merchant St. and will lead you directly to Bobby D's, but if you want we can meet before getting into Emporia and get together to the restaurant. Thanks for the map.
Terry: We won't visit the jail, don't worry, I already contacted the newspaper, let's see if they contact me back, I contacted the other Smart owner as well, this is my second time trying to contact him, hopefully he writes back this time.

Getting there earlier is fine for me but I was not sure how early everyone was willing to gather. let us know all of your thoughts...
