And on a serious note, folks, be thinking of an activity or two for November and December. I'm trying to figure out how to connect with the Plaza Lighting Ceremony. Anyone have an idea? Something that would be a BLAST would be to have a Donut Festival on some lake after it froze (assuming it gets that cold). Can you imagine 20 SmartCars doing 'Car Ballet' on ice??? Wooo-HOOOO! I'd have to put a tutu on Gromit!

Fellow Smartians,

Just a soft, gentle reminder that you still have time to make a costume for you car for THIS WEEKEND'S SmartCar Costume party! Yep, it's THIS coming weekend, October 25. Surely you know this!

And, if memory serves, there were a couple things going on in our neighborhood Activity-wise over the weekend just ending...

Who did what? We want to KNOW!

I was in Wichita and over the weekend and saw a SmartCar on the road. I was not in my Smart, and I felt the strangest urge to stop the Smart driver to inform her or him that I had one too, etc. Fortunately, I did NOT stop them, as they might have been frightened PLUS they would have thought i was nuts! But I DO wish there was a standard, simple, universal way to signal 'kinship' to another SmartCar driver. My enthusiasm nearly overtook my common sense! (THAT'S never happened before! )

Congratulations to all the winners and to every one who participated. The wife and I had a blast! There was a lot of creative ideas displayed. Kudo's to smartcenter merriam. I spent about 3 hours editing and sifting and sorting pics today and reacquainted myself with how to post, so sometime soon (like the next 6 years) I should have some pics up in our club's gallery. FYI, if you want to post there, do it under our *official* name: MO-KAN SmartCar (or Smart Car) Club.

Again, thanks to Joe, Amanda, Melinda, Ron and whomever else I'm forgetting at the dealership. We had a great time! Feel free to invite us all over for Monsterburgers anytime!

I would like to thank everyone at Aristocrat for their wonderful hospitality. Amanda, Joe, and Melinda did a great job getting us all together and under control. I was pleased with how much they went over and above what we all expected and I hope that there will be another one next year. Congratulations to all the winners and I hope that everyone got home safely. For those that have not already seen them I have posed a few pictures in the clubs gallery MO-KAN smart car club. I also would like to say that it was nice to meet some of the new faces and I hope that we meet again at future gatherings.
