When I contacted the 500 Festival Committee about doing this event, I was told that we enter through "Gate 10" off of 30th St (north side of the track, between turns 3 & 4. We would be led onto the track from there. I can't see them taking us all the way down to the south end of the track to get on.
Years ago when I got to take my Challenger on the track, I think we came in off of the 16th St Main Entrance and got on in front of the museum. Apparently that has changed.
As for "Terry S" taking the pics, well......unfortunately I think they have 'other' plans that week.
Too bad, my wife and I would love for them to attend and his taking pics would just be a BONUS!
