I live right near I35 & 119st. I35 is a straight shot down there. Why not meet at the Target store parking lot, at 119th and Blackbob, at a certain time Saturday morning. Then have a big Smart car wagon train trip down there.
I just came back from Oklahoma, two week ago on 169 highway, lots of juicy bugs, that like to eat Smart car clearcoat paint!!!!! Big bad flying rocks too!!!! It is a nice road!!! This is my first run with you guys, so it's really your call.
Really like to go.
I wish it did have some kind of force field shield!!!! Someone got me again in the windshield, on 35 today, going to work. Yesterday the hood. I stay about 7 car lengths away from everybody. Big bad SUV's and Mini vans.
The Target store, is right off I-35 & 119th in Olathe. There is a Home depot across the street. Someone name a time. Its about 42 min to Ottawa, 38.1 miles, from that Target store. Smart t-pants is ready to roll.
It's late, but I just this minute got my ISP back. Razzin' frazzin' snazzin' jazzin' grrr!!
I will be at the Target parking lot by 10:30, with the expectation that by the time we connect and talk, we can leave by 10:45. That puts us in Ottawa by 11:30. If you want to wagon train, BE THERE! If not, come on down on your own. Just meet at the Sirloin Stockade at 11:30.
Steve, if you see this prior to departure time Saturday morning, post a location in the parking lot to meet at. ("By the front door," or "West of the submarine repair shop," or "Inside Ace's Asphalt Emporium." Whatever!)
I will check this before I leave, and if there is nothing posted, I will simply come looking for other Smartians.
BTW my cell # is 816-456-7364. Feel free to call me.
Haven't heard a peep from Anita or Don or Shane or others... I sure hope you kids have your ears on! We need you! And there is news I will share at the meeting. After, I will post it here.
I have not been able to confirm this, but I have been told that I-35 has construction in various locations between south Johnson County and Ottawa and is cut down to one lane. To avoid any delays you may want to stick to the alternate rout that I suggested earlier in this post (169 to 68 and 68 to Ottawa). I look forward to seeing you all there, and I hope that you all have worked out the details among yourselves.
