Hello all--my first post. This message just to let you know about a terrific deal. For those of you who are going to change your own oil, or have a friend or relative do it, Advance Auto Parts has on sale 5 quarts of Mobil 1 0W-40 oil and Mobil M1-108 oil filter for $29.88. Regular retail for the same thing would be $44.83. Of course you only need 3 quarts, but you will have (leftover) 2 extra quarts at a great price that you can use on the following oil change. This is a savings of $14.95 (Tax not included). I live in the Northland. I have a red smart Passion w/black safety cell and black, leather interior, window tinting by A-1 in Olathe and tapering black stripe in the middle recess on each door by Pam at Smart Center of Merriam. Took delivery in early February, 5300 miles. No problems, yet. Bill in K.C. North.

If you can't catch this sale, Checker/Schucks puts Mobile 1 filters on sale for $3.99 fairly often and Costco always has Mobile 1 oil @ 6/ under $30. I run this in my tractor also, so the price is great!

Oil filters: Fram PH-6607, Purolator Pure One PL-14612 (or L-14612), Bosch 3300, Mitsubishi 1230A040, Advance Auto Parts AA-14612, Mobil 1 M1-108, AC Delco PF-1237. I also saw listed somewhere in here the AC Delco UPF44 Ultra Guard Gold, but I can't confirm and verify this one on Delco's website filter selector. I am going to use the Mobil and Purolator Pure One filters, and I am going to try the Mobil 1 0W-40 for the oil.

Here, I thought I was the only Smartguy in the Northland! I think there MIGHT be enough room for both of us! Actually, I think there are about 4, but I don't know any of them. Yet...

Were you at the Big Meet we had at Aristocrat back in July? I met another Northlander there, but don't recall his name. He went on the 'parade' we conducted through the Plaza, Crown Center, ending up at the Power and Light District. Was that YOU?

Anyway, we're delighted to have you in the group! And thanks for the money-saving tip! I already changed my oil at 750 miles, and am using Mobil One and the M1-108. ...And I paid $44.83!
