To me this site is enough...(yeah right ) As some say I'm a spy, remember, I'm exactly in the middle of KC and Wichita, so I can turn to both sides .
Just in case you want to know, I post in the mexican and spanish forum too!!! You should visit those sites as well.
Anyway, I don't think having a mokan club site is that needed, this site has been working just fine, it offers what we need: we can post anything, upload pictures, all the SCOA members can read our silly posts, we even have our own section and gallery.
But that's just my idea, an Insider's idea...I mean an intruder's idea
We can talk about this on the 21st.
Where are all those photo's Terry took????????????
We need to set up a big event this spring with the KC, Topeka, Lawrence, Wichita, Tulsa, Columbia, Warrensburg, surrounding Mo area. etc, groups. It could be called the Tornado Alley Rally
The picture problem is about to get much worse: I have a much better camera arriving shortly, which means I will take even MORE pictures that you'll never see!
As for the website, ALSRAC my dear Secret Agent friend , not everyone who buys a Smart joins a forum. So if we want to invite new owners to "join us," they HAVE to join this (or another) forum to get info. With a dedicated website, they could just surf on in and not have to *join* anything.
Not to belabor the point but I have experienced how %$#! difficult it is to reach everyone to promote an event VIA EMAIL. It took me hours! A simple card given to new owners when they take delivery saying "Visit the OFFICIAL MO-KAN SmartCar Club website to learn about Smart activities and events," would be simpler. I think it would be better to let interested people find the info rather than having to send it to them.
But you are right: let's discuss it and get more input!
Terry, you have been successful, you convinced me!!! It's so much easier to put the info, events, pictures in one place where who is really interested will check out, and then if he or she likes it will become a member than having to join any site and after that decide whether they like it or not, of course we'll continue our usual coverage here so all SCOA members can see what the MO-KAN people is up to.
Well, this was supposed to be a surprise, but due to the circumstances I'll let you know: on the 21st I'll bring some business cards to recruit new people, since we don't have our website yet, and since the cards are already being made, they'll show this website address, in the meantime the newbies can take a look here.
Wow! Sounds great! Now I KNOW you are a double agent: you were 'against' a website because you were MAKING one! You're awesome! :
Really looking forward to seeing everyone again.
Terry
BS. I got my new camera Steve! It's tripindicular! Got it Friday. So far, I've only taken 2,179 pics! Really! One of these days, you're gonna be real surprised when I back a dump truck up to your house and SHOW YOU THE PICTURES! Wooo-hooooo!
2 couples from Wichita had confirm their assistance tomorrow at Aristocrat, actually one couple is picking up their car, is our chance to bring them to this side!!!
