time warner giving away a Smartie

I had read somewhere that dealers / businesses could not order the car yet... so I freaked when I saw the advertisement -- like I'm getting bumped out of line for my reservation ... just goes to show that patience is not my strong suit when it comes to waiting 8-12 months for a car

I'm wondering when the info about the 09's will be out as I read that the yellow and "tomato soup" red won't be available next year. Mine will fall into January - March delivery [I hope] ... so I'm guessing there will be some changes

Since you all get together for rallies, does anyone know the latest for those of us still waiting???

Anyone got the inside track with Aristocrat?

Hey, welcome!! I've seen that ad on TV, too, about Time Warner having a drawing if you sign up for something. Yeah, at first I thought someone may have to wait longer just because of that, but I think maybe the dealership ordered it specifically for that? Who knows.

Yes, the waiting can be torturous, but WELL worth it!!! I waited exactly 1 year, and I'm STILL love-love-loving my car!! I know there have been rumors on here about the colors, but I think it's best to just wait & see. You know how rumors can get out of hand! :-)

Aristocrat is VERY helpful. PM me & I'll give you a couple email addresses. They are very courteous, and understand your anxiety of waiting.

The car Time Warner is giving away is one my wife had a reservation on. She works with Sprint and Time Warner. We were approached by Time Warner to give up our reservation since the car they ordered would not be here until next year. We contacted Smart USA and got approval to pass our reservation on to Time Warner and they were more than agreeable since this was a "give away". The car is fully loaded with Silver and a Black Trideon.

We did not make any money on this deal, it was a simple give away of our reservation to Time Warner.

Bud, this is not a flame. If I "give away" my reservation to a multi-billion dollar communication company, I would be watching some free cable TV for a long while.

Thanks to all of you who answered my message!

As I think about Time Warner giving away a fourtwo -- it just helps reinforce that it's a great little car [especially for my skeptical friends]
... or maybe Time Warner hasn't sucked enough money from us all yet to afford to give away a Mercedes - HA [I sure don't need to give them any more money!!!]

Anyway, I'm really curious about the 2009 models as that's when I hope mine will come down the pike.

You all drive fun and I'll look forward to joining you at the rallies when miine arrives.
